Did you know that poodles have historically proven to be very avid and enthusiastic hunters! Like most healthy creatures given the choice, a healthy standard poodle will enjoy both the indoors and the wide open sunny skies of the great outdoors. Poodles are said to be the second most intelligent dog known to mankind and love to put their gift to the test. Standard Poodles may very well be one of the most mis-understood dogs in the world. Standard Poodles have a wonderful sense of class and flare but make no mistake...they are NOT a foo foo dog! When raised correctly, Standard Poodles are very adaptable and absolutely love being outside as much as they enjoy the indoor environment. Standard Poodles, much like children will conform to your lifestyle when given the care, love, safety, and attention they need to thrive. Not only do they love hanging out and playing with you; but due to their inherent nature, they love fishing activities with you, chasing deer, squirrel, and have been trained as duck and geese hunters and retrievers as well! A standard poodle is a wonderfully loyal friend to the Master but will always love and respond positively to the whole family.
